The Polexpresso Story

Jack had just sold his business and was looking for the next venture – preferably in something he felt passionate about and knew well. Mark had been in the electronic industry for over 20 years and was similarly looking for the next challenge.

Mark remembers being at Jack’s place one day – “Out of the blue we both started talking about the idea of a mobile coffee van, bringing Espresso coffee to the people of Melbourne at work and play. So we decided to join forces together with a view to turning this idea into a successful business.”

After countless hours and burnt candles spent researching, the two came up with a concept they believe is a winner - a mobile coffee van that is unique in many ways. Why is it unique? They also selected one of the best coffee blends in Australia (so good that they have been proud to place their name on the packaging!)

“Our coffee is roasted only a few days before being served to customers, so that freshness and flavour can be guaranteed.”

While the business is wholly Australian owned and Melbourne based, Mark and Jack have incorporated their Polish heritage into the name “Polexpresso”. The boys have been good friends for over 18 years and are happy to share their friendship with their customers.

“Many of our customers are like friends - we see them every week and some even every day.”

Mark and Jack approach their coffee like their customers: unique and a different experience every time. Their mission is to make a better cup then the last one and to put every effort into doing so.

“The first lesson about coffee making I’ve learnt from my instructor was to use this principle 'when in doubt throw it out'. I would rather lose ten cups than one customer.”
